MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT IN MIZORAM

Existing MMUs :- MMU is a mechanism to provide outreach services in rural and remote areas,there are nine Mobile Medical Units in Mizoram comprising of three vehicles in each unit totaling 27 vehicles. One vehicle is used for transport of medical and Para-medical personnel, Second is used for carrying equipment/ accessories and basic laboratory facilities, Third vehicle carries diagnostic equipments such as X-Ray, ultrasound and generator . Each unit has- one doctor, one nurse, one X-Ray Technician, one lab technician, one pharmacist and driver. Many un-served areas have been covered through National Mobile Medical Units
